We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 6th Jagiellonian Symposium on Advances in Particle Physics and Medicine (JS2026), which will take place 5–10 July 2026 at the Collegium Novodvorscianum, Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. The meeting will be held in person.
Since 2015, the Jagiellonian Symposium has brought together researchers working in particle physics, nuclear medicine, and medical imaging. The symposium focuses on technologies and methods that move from laboratory research toward clinical application. These include advanced detection systems, new imaging techniques, and computational tools that support diagnosis and treatment.
Important dates:
– Abstract submission deadline: 15 April 2026
– Notification of acceptance: 1 May 2026
– Early registration deadline: 10 May 2026
Further information about the symposium, abstract submission, and registration is available on the conference website: https://indico.koza.if.uj.edu.pl/e/symposium2026. The First Circular with detailed information about the program, registration, and events is attached.
The scientific program will cover a range of topics, including:
- Antimatter in fundamental and material physics
- Artificial intelligence for medicine
- Brain-PET innovations
- Drug delivery systems
- Exotic atoms and nuclei, nuclear physics
- Medical experiments and clinical trials
- Particle detection technologies
- Particle therapy monitoring
- PET imaging innovations
- Positronium in medicine
- Progress in CAR-T therapy imaging
- Radiopharmaceuticals for theranostics
- Multiplexed PET and Positronium Imaging
- Total-body PET
- Quantum entanglement in positron emission tomography
The symposium will open with an invited lecture by Prof. Habib Zaidi, titled “Advanced Computational Models for Theranostic Digital Twins.”
JS2026 will also include a public lecture by Prof. Simon R. Cherry, titled “Seeing is Believing: Total-Body Metabolic and Molecular Imaging,” focusing on the development of total-body PET technology and its impact on whole-body imaging.
Selected contributions from the symposium will be considered for publication in thematic journals. Further information about the journals will be updated on the conference website.
Researchers, clinicians, and industry representatives are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this invitation with colleagues who may be interested.
We look forward to welcoming you to Kraków in July 2026.
With kind regards,
Prof. Paweł Moskal
